Junior Income Auditor

About the role

Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a 5-star beachfront resort on the Palm Jumeirah, is hiring a Junior Income Auditor. The role audits and verifies daily revenue across the hotel's outlets (Rooms, F&B, Spa, etc.) and supports the revenue reporting and month-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and verify daily revenue reports from all hotel outlets (Rooms, F&B, Spa, etc.)
• Reconcile cash, credit card and other payment transactions
• Review night audit reports and ensure all postings are accurate
• Check rate variances, discounts, voids and rebates for proper authorization
• Ensure all revenues are recorded correctly in the system
• Prepare daily revenue summary reports for management
• Investigate and report discrepancies or irregularities
• Assist in month-end closing procedures related to revenue
• Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit purposes
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal controls

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Previous experience in hotel finance or accounting is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Familiarity with hotel PMS systems (e.g. Opera) is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
