Junior Instrument Technician

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Junior Instrument Technician for a full-time position in Dubai within the oil and gas sector. The role supports the installation, maintenance and commissioning of field instrumentation under the guidance of senior technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, calibration, testing and commissioning of field instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, level and flow transmitters.
• Support senior technicians with routine maintenance, loop checking, signal testing and basic troubleshooting of instruments and control systems.
• Carry out maintenance on control valves, RTDs, thermocouples and pneumatic instruments following instructions.
• Learn to read and interpret instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring drawings).
• Keep tools and testing devices in good working order and maintain housekeeping.
• Follow site safety standards and ADNOC protocols, and accurately record work done while escalating issues to senior staff.

Required profile

• ADNOC project experience is mandatory (onshore preferred).
• Experience in maintenance and support tasks in onshore oil and gas environments.
• Diploma/ITI or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electronics or a related field.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, basic safety awareness and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Understanding of PPE and permit-to-work systems.
• Safe working practices in hazardous areas.
