About the role

The Key Account Manager will lead the sales strategy for major retail customers in the UAE, driving profitable growth while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Senior Director of Retail, the role combines strategic planning with day‑to‑day execution across product, price, placement and promotion.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement account‑specific sales plans to achieve revenue, volume and profitability targets.
  • Manage trade spend, 4Ps execution and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) in line with business objectives.
  • Lead a team of Key Account Executives, overseeing daily activities, performance reviews and compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Category Management to launch new products, plan assortments and execute Joint Business Plans.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor execution standards, visibility and competitive activity.
  • Negotiate annual contracts, maintain senior‑level relationships and resolve customer issues promptly.
  • Identify growth opportunities across categories and channels, driving joint initiatives with customers and distributors.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in key account or commercial management within the retail sector.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to track sales, trade spend and DSO metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building long‑term partnerships.
  • Leadership experience managing sales teams and coordinating cross‑functional projects.
