Kitchen Technician

About the role

The Kitchen Technician supports guest satisfaction by responding to repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all kitchen and mechanical equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and log daily activities for shift handovers.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room systems.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities; use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Carry out basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, HVAC filters, lighting, TV programming, and minor carpentry or painting tasks.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and perform landscaping and sprinkler repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, painting, and preferably hotel engineering.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration knowledge.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Plumbing repair skills.
• Pneumatic/electronic systems understanding.
• Carpentry and basic painting abilities.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
