Lead Civil Design Engineer – Substation

About the role

The Lead Civil Design Engineer will head the civil and structural design activities for AIS substations ranging from 33kV to 500kV. The role requires deep knowledge of Uzbekistan local codes (KMK, GOST, SHINK) and strict adherence to project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Collect project inputs (plot details, feeder arrangements, GA drawings) from clients, vendors and internal teams.
• Prepare civil and structural deliverables such as buildings, gantries, equipment structures, drainage systems, cable trenches and roads.
• Review and modify drawings received from remote engineering offices in coordination with local authorities and contractors.
• Check BOQ, provide technical clarifications and support the contracts and supply chain teams.
• Coordinate with primary, secondary engineering, project management and manufacturing for interdisciplinary checks.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil and structural design for substations or power distribution projects.
• Hands‑on experience with Uzbekistan local codes (GOST, KMK, SHNK).

Required skills

• Proficiency in STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, Concise Beam, LIRA SAPR.
• Design expertise in site grading, embankments, tower & girder foundations, outdoor equipment support structures, RCC control rooms, water tanks.
