Lead Corporate Credit

About the role

The client, an established bank in the UAE, is seeking a Lead – Corporate Credit to evaluate complex corporate credit proposals, oversee portfolio risk and support sound lending decisions. Reporting to the Unit Head – Corporate Credit, the role combines credit assessment, portfolio monitoring, process improvement and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Review new, annual and interim credit proposals for large corporate clients across diverse industries and recommend approval or rejection.
• Analyse financial statements, repayment capacity, industry outlook and borrower risk to assess creditworthiness.
• Prepare clear credit assessments, presentations and recommendations, escalating proposals for approval in line with delegated authority.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including sector and borrower concentrations, non‑performing loans and key risk indicators.
• Assess expected credit losses and staging considerations under IFRS 9 and support internal credit ratings using Moody’s Risk Analytics.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business; master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years at managerial level within credit.
• Strong experience assessing large corporate borrowers across multiple industries and proven capability in financial statement analysis.
• Excellent commercial judgment, communication and stakeholder management skills.
