Lead Electrical Engineer

About the role

Rejlers Abu Dhabi is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive design and delivery on refinery and on‑shore/off‑shore oil & gas projects. Reporting to the Head of Discipline – Electrical, you will oversee multiple local and international projects, ensuring engineering deliverables meet client and ADNOC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering design review, analysis and documentation for major and smaller projects.
• Prepare and finalize the Engineering Document Deliverable Register (EDDR) in line with client and contract requirements.
• Produce electrical design deliverables using SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), AutoCAD, MicroStation, ETAP, cable‑sizing and lighting tools (DiaLux).
• Coordinate inter‑discipline reviews, obtain client approvals, and manage technical queries.
• Support procurement by preparing RFQs, MR & TBE and reviewing vendor documents for compliance.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (BSc or MSc) with at least 15 years of electrical engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical industries.
• Minimum 8 years in a senior role, including FEED and EPC delivery for ADNOC on‑shore projects.
• Proven experience with reputable engineering consultants and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage and must meet UAE visa requirements.

Required skills

• SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), AutoCAD, MicroStation.
• ETAP, DiaLux, cable‑sizing, relay setting & coordination, CT sizing.
• Knowledge of OHL, GIS, EHT, CP, OLCMS, IPCS, VSD.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, IEC and BS codes.
