Lead Engineer – Microsoft 365

About the role

Lead the design, security and operation of Inception42’s Microsoft 365 estate, Entra ID and Azure platform. This hands‑on senior position sets technical standards, guides a small engineering team and acts as the final escalation point for platform issues.

Key responsibilities

• Own architecture, security and operation of Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Defender and Purview.
• Manage Entra ID identity services, including Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, hybrid identity and governance.
• Define and enforce technical standards across the Microsoft 365 and Azure estates.
• Automate administration as code using PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform or ARM templates.
• Lead major platform changes such as migrations, tenant consolidations and new service introductions.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• Deep hands‑on expertise with Microsoft 365 at enterprise scale.
• Strong experience in Entra ID engineering and Azure governance.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale tenant migrations or consolidations.
• Practical security knowledge, including Zero Trust, Defender and Purview.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders.
