Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer - Offshore Project

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer will direct all I&C engineering activities across FEED, detailed design, EPC, commissioning and start‑up phases, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with ADNOC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Instrumentation & Control discipline team, managing resources, schedules and deliverable quality.
• Review and approve instrument indexes, datasheets, hook‑up, loop and cable drawings, and material requisitions.
• Specify and select field instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, analyzers, control and shutdown valves.
• Design and implement DCS, ESD, fire‑gas, PLC, SCADA and integrated control & safety systems (ICSS) in line with ADNOC and cybersecurity requirements.
• Coordinate with project management and multidisciplinary engineering groups throughout all project phases.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in oil & gas.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, functional safety and cybersecurity guidelines.
• Ability to manage technical bid evaluations and supplier interfaces.
