Lead, Land Test

About the role

The Land Test Team Lead will plan, design and lead complex land‑based test and evaluation programmes at the Abu Al Abyad Test Range and other locations. Working closely with clients, test specialists, engineers and technicians, the Lead ensures that all testing activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with technical, operational and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and execution of arena testing, static rocket and engine testing, insensitive ammunition qualification, mine‑resistance testing and related programmes.
• Collaborate with clients and test specialists to define test requirements and develop optimal test configurations.
• Design test setups that capture performance, safety and evaluation data accurately.
• Develop verification test plans, detailed test procedures and supporting technical documentation.
• Oversee test engineers and technicians during test execution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership in data acquisition, analysis, reporting and equipment management.
• Drive capability development and continuous improvement of test methodologies.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in land‑based test and evaluation activities (minimum 1 month indicated).
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary test teams in a defence or high‑risk environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and technical standards for weapons and aerospace testing.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, engineers and senior management.
