Lead Mechanic – Calibration Specialist

About the role

The Lead Mechanic (Calibration) is responsible for maintenance, calibration, surface finishing and painting of Emirates and third‑party aircraft, components, tools and equipment. The role works under the direction of a Supervisor or Engineer and ensures compliance with company procedures and aviation regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine component and tool servicing, calibration, maintenance, modification and approved structural repairs following manufacturers' manuals and safety protocols.
• Assist Supervisors/Engineers in troubleshooting, defect rectification and modifications, and ensure clean, FOD‑free work areas.
• Maintain accurate records, environmental monitoring and quality activities as directed by the Technical Manager.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronics or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an aviation workshop environment.
• Full knowledge of aviation regulations, ISO/IEC 17025 and safety practices.

Required skills

• Aircraft maintenance and calibration procedures.
• Use of Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) and Standard Practice Manual (SPM).
• Operation of specialised calibration equipment and generation of verification reports.
