Lead Testing & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Lead Testing & Commissioning Engineer to lead on‑site activities, ensuring cost‑effective execution of project deliverables in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate on‑site activities with the project manager, including resources, equipment, and milestones.
• Lead testing and commissioning of switchgear, protection relays, circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, auxiliary relays, interlocks, bus‑bar protection schemes, and transformer differential/REF protection.
• Prepare weekly and monthly witness schedules, monitor progress against the baseline program, and manage subcontractors to meet quality and delivery dates.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety plans, handle equipment storage and logistics, and control project costs and petty cash.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical power, electronics or communication.
• At least 10 years of project experience in testing and commissioning of electrical power equipment.
• Proven leadership, communication, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Testing & commissioning of switchgear and protection relays.
• Circuit breaker, current transformer (CT), voltage transformer (VT), auxiliary relay, and interlock verification.
• Bus‑bar protection scheme testing and sensitivity/stability assessment.
• Transformer differential and REF protection testing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project planning tools.
