Learning and Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning and Development Specialist will partner with department heads to identify training needs and design programs that enhance employee skills, drive performance, and support career growth across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct training needs analysis in collaboration with department leaders.
• Develop and implement learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Track and manage training budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Measure training effectiveness, gather feedback, and use data to improve programs.
• Organise workshops, webinars, seminars and other learning sessions.
• Support career development initiatives such as succession planning, mentoring and leadership training.
• Maintain accurate training records and certifications in the HR system.
• Assist with HR communications, pension registration, final settlements, and performance management processes.
• Provide HR reporting and analytics for headcount, attendance and other metrics.
• Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and stay updated on UAE labor law and HR best practices.
• Act as a point of contact for employees on HR policies, procedures and benefits.
• Set individual goals for direct reports and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including QHSE requirements.

Required profile

• Strong collaboration skills with ability to work closely with department heads.
• Analytical mindset for assessing training needs and measuring program impact.
• Good understanding of HR processes, UAE labor law and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for HR announcements and employee support.
• Detail‑oriented approach to maintaining training records and managing budgets.
