Legal Affairs Manager (Legal Counsel)

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Affairs Manager (Legal Counsel) to provide strategic legal advice and support to Emirates Flight Catering and its subsidiaries. The role will work closely with multiple business units to ensure legal compliance and protect the company’s commercial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely, strategic legal advice to internal departments such as HR, Commercial, Finance, IT, QHSE and others.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts and corporate documents, identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Support strategic initiatives, projects, policies and process improvements with legal input.
• Conduct legal research on applicability, best practices, and jurisprudence.
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes, recommending updates to internal policies, SOPs and contracts.
• Manage legal records, liaison with translators, notaries, government entities and external counsel.
• Provide legal awareness training and guide business teams in complex commercial negotiations.
• Assist with insurance matters and oversee the Matter Management System, ensuring proper filing and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of contract law and commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical and risk‑assessment skills.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non‑legal stakeholders.
