Legal and Compliance Manager – VP (Investment Firm, DIFC)

About the role

The client, an investment firm located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), is seeking a Vice‑President level Legal and Compliance Manager. The role combines senior legal counsel responsibilities with full ownership of the compliance function, reporting directly to the senior executive team.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of contracts, fund documents and other legal agreements.
• Provide practical legal advice on corporate, employment, and regulatory matters.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business.
• Lead the compliance function, overseeing KYC, AML reporting and DFSA regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (HR, finance, operations) to ensure integrated legal and compliance support.
• Develop and mentor the compliance team, fostering a strong compliance culture.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney‑at‑law with a Master of Laws (LL.M.).
• Minimum six years of relevant legal and compliance experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Proven ability to work closely with senior management and handle complex regulatory environments.
