Licensed Aircraft Engineer (UAE)

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking experienced licensed aircraft engineers to join its Technical Operations team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves certifying maintenance activities across a diverse fleet and leading aircraft technicians to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Certify own work and the work of others after verifying tasks against approved data and authorisation scope.
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and on time in line with company procedures.
• Carry out maintenance in compliance with company, health and safety, and airport regulations.
• Prepare all materials, parts, tools, equipment and documentation at the start of each shift.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Provide guidance and assistance to technicians to ensure safe and effective working practices.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, serviceable and safe.
• Interact professionally with colleagues, stakeholders and customers.
• Participate in training and development to enhance technical capability.
• Adhere to company health, safety and corporate image standards at all times.
• Conduct inspections on ground support equipment (GSE) and complete relevant checklists.
• Perform daily inspections of company vehicles and complete the Vehicle Maintenance Inspection form.
• Ensure all work follows Etihad’s processes, procedures, safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Valid aircraft maintenance licence (EASA Part‑66 or GCAA).
• Experience certifying maintenance on Boeing 777 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO type certification and regulatory standards.
