Line Maintenance Technician (Category A)

About the role

The Line Maintenance Technician (Category A) will perform maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft under CAR 66 Category A1 authorisation. The role ensures aircraft are serviceable, safe, and ready for operation through inspections, repairs, defect rectification, and component replacement.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned tasks with the Maintenance Manager to understand priorities, documentation, and safety cautions.
• Prepare and execute scheduled aircraft maintenance, securing required parts, tools, and ground support equipment (GSE).
• Conduct aircraft tests and inspections, accurately recording any defects or damage.
• Perform routine servicing, transit, daily and weekly checks, and component replacements as authorised under a Category A licence.
• Ensure proper use and return of tooling and equipment in good condition.
• Report task status to the Certifying Engineer or Shift Manager and flag any issues.
• Manage safety by following mandatory precautions, using protective equipment, and adhering to human‑factor guidelines.
• Provide internal customer service and represent Air Arabia professionally.
• Maintain cost awareness by minimising waste of consumables and avoiding repeat work.

Required profile

• Qualified Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician with Category A1 authorisation.
• Proven experience in line maintenance on commercial aircraft.
• Familiarity with CAR 66 regulations and Air Arabia maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and maintenance manuals.
