Logistics & Lifting Supervisor

About the role

The Logistics & Lifting Supervisor plans, coordinates and supervises all site logistics and lifting operations on building projects in the UAE. The role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials, equipment and manpower while complying with UAE safety regulations and project requirements. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site logistics: plan material delivery, storage and distribution, coordinate with procurement and site teams, monitor access, traffic flow and laydown areas, and keep records of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Supervise lifting activities including cranes, hoists and lifting equipment, ensuring lifting plans, method statements and risk assessments are prepared and followed.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers and signalmen, conduct pre-lift meetings, inspect equipment and check that third-party certifications are valid.
• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, run toolbox talks, identify hazards, enforce PPE use and safe working practices.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, prepare daily and weekly reports, and monitor productivity.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of UAE construction experience (mandatory).
• Experience with main contractors on building projects is essential.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Logistics or Construction Management.
• Valid Lifting Supervisor certification preferred; additional safety certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are an advantage.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of lifting operations, crane coordination and logistics planning.
• Familiarity with UAE safety standards and regulations.
• Strong coordination, communication and leadership skills, and ability to handle multiple site activities under pressure.
