Logistics Manager – Large‑Scale Import/Export Operations

About the role

The Logistics Manager will lead end‑to‑end import and cross‑border logistics for a high‑volume operation in the MEA region, handling more than 100 containers each month. You will work closely with sales teams and key clients to design cost‑effective bulk logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage large‑scale import/export and port operations, including customs declarations, clearance, and container trucking.
• Monitor shipping schedules, yard status, and resolve customs inspections to minimise delays.
• Negotiate with shipping lines and carriers for fee waivers, capacity allocation, and demurrage/detention reductions.
• Provide commercial support by delivering logistics solutions, cost estimates, and delivery commitments for major sales deals.
• Develop and oversee a regional vendor network of trucking fleets, customs brokers, forwarders, and bonded yards.
• Control the bulk logistics budget and implement cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Ensure trade compliance, manage customs risks, and create SOPs and contingency plans.

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands‑on logistics management experience in the MEA region, preferably within in‑house manufacturing logistics.
• Proven track record handling 100+ containers per month and expertise in full container load (FCL) processes.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade or a related field.
• Experience across both Africa and the Middle East.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
