Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will coordinate daily logistics, transportation, shipments, material movement and delivery activities, ensuring timely movement of goods and accurate documentation. The role works closely with suppliers, transporters, warehouse teams, freight forwarders, customs agents and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics, transportation, dispatch and delivery activities, including scheduling and vehicle utilization.
• Track shipments, resolve delays, damages, shortages and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate delivery notes, shipment documents, gate passes, vehicle records and inventory movement reports.
• Support import/export logistics, customs clearance and related documentation.
• Monitor transportation costs and support cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Prepare logistics reports, delivery status updates and operational summaries for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain or warehouse operations.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred, especially in industrial, engineering, trading, construction or Oil & Gas environments.
• Logistics/Supply Chain certification and UAE driving licence are advantages.

Required skills

• Knowledge of logistics, transportation, shipment tracking and inventory processes.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation and UAE customs procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP, inventory or logistics management systems.
