Luxury Hotel/Resort Online Distribution Manager (E‑Commerce)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Online Distribution Manager to lead the e‑commerce strategy for a luxury resort in East Africa. The role is on‑property and focuses on maximizing online revenue, managing OTA relationships, and driving direct bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise all online distribution channels, including OTAs, brand websites, GDS, wholesalers and third‑party platforms.
• Develop e‑commerce strategies to increase occupancy, ADR and overall online revenue.
• Monitor channel performance, rate parity, inventory allocation and promotional campaigns.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management and Reservations to support pricing and distribution decisions.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and booking patterns to identify revenue opportunities.
• Work with Marketing to improve digital visibility, conversion rates and direct bookings.
• Ensure accurate content across all online channels and booking platforms.
• Prepare regular performance reports and recommendations for senior management.
• Support system integrations between PMS, CRS, channel managers and booking engines.
• Maintain strong relationships with OTA market managers and external distribution partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in online distribution, e‑commerce or revenue management within luxury resort operations.
• International resort background; experience in East Africa is a plus.
• Strong understanding of hospitality commercial operations and guest booking behaviour.
• Highly organised with strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and relocate as required.
