Senior Waiter – Cala Vista at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam

About the role

The Cala Vista restaurant at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam is seeking an experienced Senior Waiter to deliver the brand’s renowned hospitality. You will be the face of the dining area, ensuring guests receive attentive, knowledgeable, and seamless service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests warmly, answer menu questions, and provide detailed information on ingredients, cooking methods, and allergens.
• Present daily specials, recommend food and beverages, and take accurate orders, including special requests.
• Handle cashiering duties using the MICROS system, process multiple payment methods, and generate precise guest bills.
• Oversee section operations, collect guest feedback, and assist with inquiries or phone calls as needed.
• Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to expedite orders efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, follow hygiene standards, and support smooth service flow while upholding Jumeirah’s standards of excellence.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a waiter in a 5‑star luxury property or a high‑end standalone/branded restaurant.
• Fluent in English; additional language such as Russian or other European languages is desirable.
• Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
• Familiarity with Sevenrooms reservation software.
