Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Engineer monitors the technical status of an aircraft fleet, coordinates maintenance activities, and ensures regulatory compliance to maximise fleet availability. This role operates 24/7, providing real‑time technical support and managing defect resolution across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor aircraft technical status, review defects, deferred defects and technical log entries on a continuous basis.
• Assess defect impact on dispatch reliability and initiate timely troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Coordinate unscheduled and AOG maintenance activities, providing technical support to line stations and maintenance providers.
• Manage MEL, CDL and DDG applications, track deferred defects and drive corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Lead AOG recovery, arranging spare parts, tooling and manpower while liaising with OCC, Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Provide real‑time technical advice, review troubleshooting data and coordinate with OEMs when required.
• Interface with Planning and CAMO to ensure maintenance tasks, ADs and inspections are scheduled appropriately.
• Monitor fleet reliability indicators, identify adverse trends and support reliability investigations.
• Ensure all maintenance actions comply with national aviation authority regulations, the operator’s AMP, MCM and continuing airworthiness requirements.
• Prepare technical occurrence reports, maintain accurate maintenance records and support incident investigations.
