Maintenance Project Engineer – Fire Fighting Systems

About the role

The Maintenance Project Engineer will lead the installation, testing, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of fire‑fighting systems across project sites. You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure all equipment operates safely and complies with NFPA and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of fire‑fighting systems.
• Handle fire pump, electric motor, diesel engine and pump controller troubleshooting and servicing.
• Perform pump alignment, periodic maintenance, servicing and performance testing.
• Inspect and troubleshoot valves, fittings and other system components.
• Coordinate activities with site teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients.
• Prepare maintenance reports, inspection records and testing documentation.
• Attend technical meetings and provide engineering support during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local authority regulations and company quality procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in fire‑fighting systems projects and maintenance, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and local firefighting regulations.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
