Maintenance Reliability Engineer Supervisor

About the role

A Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Supervisor is sought for a full-time position in the UAE. The supervisor ensures high equipment availability through preventive maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns and continuous improvement. The role involves strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise across electrical and mechanical systems, and works on a rotational shift pattern that may include nights, weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies.
• Supervise and support a team of maintenance technicians.
• Execute and monitor planned preventive maintenance across site equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, perform root cause analysis and coordinate timely resolution.
• Manage maintenance activities through the CMMS and handle maintenance requests via ticketing systems.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors, and plan annual maintenance contracts and vendor schedules.
• Review maintenance performance metrics, support continuous improvement and help develop procedures, SOPs and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to technicians and junior team members.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance environments.
• Experience supervising or leading maintenance technicians.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with conveyor systems, motor controllers, VFDs/inverters, and MEP and base building maintenance.
• Comfortable working day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays in a 24/7 environment.

Required skills

• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Strong knowledge of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs.
• Troubleshooting and repairing material handling equipment and automation systems.
