Manager - Deal Structuring & Documentation

About the role

The Manager – Deal Structuring & Documentation will lead Shariah compliance advisory for Islamic financing transactions, including Sukuk, ensuring alignment with UAE Central Bank regulations, AAOIFI standards and Internal Shariah Supervision Committee (ISSC) guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the most appropriate Shariah structure for each transaction and ensure compliance with higher authority regulations.
• Support internal and external legal counsel in drafting facility documents, embedding Shariah compliance clauses.
• Liaise with counterpart Islamic banks on syndications and club deals to resolve disagreements and finalize drafts.
• Prepare and present recommendations to the ISSC and Executive Members for approval.
• Provide Shariah advisory on new Islamic products, review product contracts and address day‑to‑day business queries.
• Coordinate with business, product, legal and IT teams to develop and review digital journey screens from a Shariah perspective.
• Maintain e‑learning content and deliver training on wholesale Islamic finance topics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Islamic finance deal structuring and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations, AAOIFI Shariah standards and ISSC guidelines.
• Ability to work closely with legal, business and IT stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
