About the role

A Manager in Governance, Risk and Compliance Services is sought to join the Financial Services solution team. The role covers managing and monitoring engagements and teams, training them on regulatory and sector trends, leading efficiency initiatives, supporting risk and engagement procedures, and helping Engagement Partners with business development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor multiple engagements and/or teams' activities, delivering on time and to quality.
• Train and update teams on recent and upcoming regulatory changes and trends affecting Financial Services clients.
• Lead initiatives to improve service delivery effectiveness and efficiency, such as a digital shift and standardisation of workpapers.
• Support internal risk and engagement management procedures, including client acceptance, continuance and engagement requirements across Internal Audit, ICOFR, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Governance and Internal Audit Quality Assurance Reviews.
• Support Engagement Partners and lead business development, including reviewing pre-engagement activities, contracting and meeting prospective clients.
• Assist Engagement Partners in implementing new services, KPMG methodologies and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Management Accounting or equivalent.
• Relevant professional qualification such as CIA, CA, ACCA, CISA, CFE, CRMA, BCM or CCGP.
• At least 8 years of experience in Internal Audit, ICOFR, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Governance or Internal Audit Quality Assurance Reviews, preferably in a consulting firm or financial institution (banks, insurance).
• Experience managing teams and handling about 2-3 engagements at once.
• Analytical approach, leadership and team mentoring skills.
• Flawless English; Arabic is a plus.
