Manager IFE Operations (UAE Nationals)

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for a Manager IFE Operations (UAE Nationals) to manage the day-to-day operations and logistics of its in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFE) department. The role covers media and software updates, headset logistics, vendor management and contract administration, and is based in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement SOPs and manuals for IFE operations and logistics to follow best practice and corporate governance.
• Manage IFE and connectivity vendors at account manager level so they meet contracted SLAs and technical issues are fixed promptly.
• Represent the department in technical and engineering meetings to consult, influence, negotiate and prioritise guest experience initiatives.
• Control operational costs by verifying vendor invoices, creating purchase orders and goods received notices, keeping expenses within approved budgets.
• Manage stock, headsets and print collateral, including stock levels, reordering, refurbishment and contract management.
• Produce weekly and monthly financial, technical and stock reports, identify trends and propose corrective and long-term solutions.
• Communicate IFE programme launches to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the line manager in launching new IFE products for the current and future fleet, including on-site testing, rollout and negotiating timelines with vendors and OMPC.
• Draft training requirements and documentation and ensure cabin crew are trained on IFE platforms, products and services.
• Carry out research, benchmarking and product analysis, help write tender documentation and business cases, and attend industry expos and conferences, which may require overseas travel.

Required profile

• At least five years' experience in in-flight entertainment and connectivity, either with an airline or an IFE supplier/vendor.
• Experience in cross-cultural environments and media experience is an advantage.
