Material Engineer – Roads & Utilities

About the role

KEO Group is seeking an experienced Material Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. You will be responsible for ensuring that all materials used for roads, utilities and related works meet project specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve material submittals, data sheets, samples and proposals for road and infrastructure works.
• Verify that on‑site materials comply with approved drawings, method statements and relevant standards.
• Monitor testing and inspection of materials for pavements, earthworks and underground utilities.
• Analyse laboratory and field test results to confirm compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, QA/QC teams and testing laboratories on material approvals and testing needs.
• Conduct site inspections to confirm the quality and suitability of delivered and installed materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Material Engineer on road or utility infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of material specifications, testing procedures and relevant authority requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings and method statements.
• Excellent coordination skills with contractors, consultants and QA/QC personnel.
