Materials Officer – Pool Management

About the role

The Materials Officer – Pool Management will ensure the availability of pool components to support Etihad Airways' operational and fleet requirements. This role involves close coordination with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee timely delivery and return of aircraft spares.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor pool component availability, supporting operational and fleet needs.
• Coordinate pool demands, exchanges, and replenishment activities in line with contractual service levels.
• Track all pool orders and transactions, ensuring accurate system updates and timely follow‑up.
• Prioritise critical and AOG requirements, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to minimise disruption.
• Liaise with Logistics, Stores, Planning and other internal teams to ensure timely movement of pool components.
• Oversee the return of unserviceable components to suppliers, complying with contractual timelines.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and service‑level agreements, escalating issues as needed.
• Maintain records and reporting on pool availability, open orders, overdue returns, AOG needs and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, college degree or equivalent aviation experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft spares management within an airline or aviation company with international exposure.
