Mathematics Teacher - Noya British School (AY 2027/2028)

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Mathematics teacher for Noya British School, its newest flagship school on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, for the academic year 2027/2028. The school delivers a British curriculum with personalised learning in an inclusive, environmentally conscious community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach mathematics using the appropriate syllabus, materials and schemes of work, planning lessons and sequences in the long, medium and short term to meet pupils' individual needs.
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, create displays and deliver enjoyable, creative lessons that challenge pupils and promote critical thinking.
• Identify clear teaching and learning objectives and adjust planning and curriculum based on reflection on progress.
• Support SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students through differentiation, and facilitate hybrid, distance and face-to-face lessons.
• Manage classes effectively, maintain good relationships with pupils, act as a positive role model and ensure a safe environment for social, emotional and academic growth.
• Follow school policies on behaviour, code of conduct and child safeguarding, and carry out duties as directed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching GCSE/A Levels.
• Passion for teaching, professionalism and a high regard for children's well-being.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
• Ability to prioritise workload and multitask, and to deal professionally with a range of stakeholders.

Required skills

• IT literate and familiar with online technologies used in 21st-century teaching.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
