Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee the mechanical maintenance activities of CNC machines, Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), and associated production equipment in a high‑performance manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, assign, coordinate and supervise daily mechanical maintenance for CNC machines, SPMs and related equipment.
• Lead preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance in line with schedules, OEM recommendations and operational needs.
• Monitor breakdowns, allocate resources and ensure timely restoration to minimise downtime.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and troubleshoot complex mechanical failures.
• Supervise maintenance of spindles, bearings, ball screws, gearboxes, couplings, belts, pulleys and machine axes.
• Oversee ATC, APC, tool magazines, fixtures, chucks and clamping systems maintenance.
• Manage hydraulic and pneumatic systems maintenance, including pumps, cylinders, valves and related components.
• Ensure lubrication and coolant systems are maintained for optimal performance.
• Coordinate machine alignment, precision measurement and condition monitoring.
• Drive reliability improvement initiatives to increase MTBF and reduce MTTR.
• Collaborate with OEM service engineers, contractors and suppliers for specialist support.
• Maintain accurate records in SAP or CMMS and ensure compliance with HSE and LOTO procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, rotating equipment and machine alignment.
• Solid understanding of preventive, corrective, TPM and reliability‑centered maintenance principles.
• Good grasp of HSE requirements, LOTO procedures and safe mechanical practices.
