Mechanical Rotating Equipment Technician – Section P5-OHB

About the role

The Mechanical Rotating Equipment Technician will perform preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance on plant equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation to meet production, quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute routine and preventive maintenance, replace worn parts and conduct test runs as required.
• Perform major overhauls, verify clearances and determine part usage or replacement for continuous equipment availability.
• Diagnose complex faults and support troubleshooting activities.
• Inspect and test completed work to confirm performance meets specifications.
• Prepare daily activity reports detailing faults, work performed, materials used, labour and time spent.
• Identify and procure necessary spare parts and tools.
• Carry out new installations, modifications and testing of equipment according to plan and supervisor instructions.
• Suggest improvements and assist senior personnel with system enhancements.
• Maintain accurate records, work order history and update drawings and documentation.
• Contribute to method statements and near‑miss reporting.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant mechanical field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar mechanical maintenance role within the oil and gas industry.
