Mechanical Technician (CRT) – Full‑time

About the role

Parker Wellbore is seeking an experienced Mechanic (CRT) to maintain and repair mechanical equipment on offshore platforms and rigs in Abu Dhabi. The role involves installing, servicing and troubleshooting a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic and engine‑driven systems while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair engines, hydraulic motors, pumps, compressors and other mechanical devices on platform equipment.
• Enter maintenance and repair data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and generate work orders.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections and lubrication according to schedules.
• Diagnose mechanical failures, read P&ID drawings, schematics and manuals, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Rig Superintendent and Maintenance Lead for equipment refurbishment and spare‑parts management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; qualifications in Mechanical or Electronic Applications preferred.
• 5‑10 years of experience with mechanical, hydraulic or electronic equipment in rig operations.
• Valid certifications and licenses required by relevant regulatory authorities.
• Ability to work safely in remote, hazardous and noisy environments, including at heights.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with engines, hydraulic motors, pumps, compressors and rig‑specific equipment.
• Proficiency in using CMMS for maintenance tracking.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&ID, schematics and manuals.
• Competence with hand tools, power tools, lathe, drill press and grinder.
• Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and basic rig‑rigging procedures.
• Strong PC skills, including MS Office.
