MENA Senior QHSSE Manager

About the role

The MENA Senior QHSSE Manager will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) systems across Interwell’s Middle East & North Africa operations. Reporting to regional leadership, the role ensures compliance with client and legislative requirements while driving a culture of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on regional and client QHSSE requirements to IW MENA and global teams.
• Develop, implement and monitor the regional QHSSE strategy, policies and procedures.
• Plan, execute and follow‑up on internal and external QHSSE audits, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and response arrangements, including the regional Emergency Response Plan.
• Track, analyse and report monthly QHSSE KPIs, identifying trends and intervention actions.
• Define training needs, deliver QHSSE training and ensure high‑quality incident investigations.
• Maintain the regional risk, opportunities and legal compliance registers.
• Act as the regional QHSSE Management Representative, managing certification audits and NCR approvals.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in QHSSE management within the oil & gas or related industrial sector.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor QHSSE supervisors or advisors.
• Strong knowledge of API Q1/Q2 standards and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Experience in audit planning, execution and follow‑up.
• Demonstrated competence in emergency response planning and incident investigation.
