MEP Designer

About the role

The MEP Designer will create mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs for fit‑out projects such as restaurants and office spaces, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare MEP designs, drawings and bills of quantities (BOQs) based on project requirements.
• Develop high‑level and detailed cost estimates for MEP works and propose value‑engineering solutions.
• Conduct site surveys, produce reports on existing conditions, and coordinate with design, construction, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Review material submittals, technical specifications and shop drawings for compliance, and support testing, commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as an MEP Design Engineer, preferably in retail, hospitality or F&B sectors.
• Strong ability to read architectural and interior design drawings and prepare accurate BOQs.
• Proven experience in cost management, pre‑design budgeting and quantity take‑offs.

Required skills

• AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
• HAP, Duct sizer and Pipe sizer software.
• Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of UAE local authority requirements and international MEP standards.
