MEP Engineer – Fire Protection Systems (FPS)

About the role

The MEP Engineer – Fire Protection Systems (FPS) will lead the installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection infrastructure on substation projects. The role requires close coordination with civil and other MEP teams to ensure seamless execution according to approved drawings and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of fire fighting piping (MS, GI, HDPE) and related components.
• Oversee sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, fire pump (main, jockey, diesel) and fire alarm system installations.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, standards and authority requirements.
• Monitor daily site activities, manpower productivity and progress.
• Coordinate with civil and other MEP disciplines to avoid clashes.
• Assist in fire alarm testing, integration and preparation of testing reports for consultant approval.

Required profile

• Proven experience in MEP coordination on substation or similar industrial sites.
• Hands‑on experience with fire protection systems and related installations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills to manage site activities and documentation.
