MEP Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Procurement Engineer to join our construction projects in Dubai. The role involves sourcing, purchasing and coordinating MEP materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of MEP materials, equipment and services for construction projects.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements for approval.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers and the MEP team on material requirements.
• Review material specifications, BOQs, drawings and technical requirements before ordering.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers on pending deliveries and resolve procurement issues.
• Maintain procurement records, quotations and related documentation.
• Identify cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with Accounts and Stores on invoices, deliveries and receipts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of MEP procurement experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire‑fighting systems and their suppliers.
• Good understanding of BOQs, technical specifications and material submittals.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP or procurement software.
