Microservices and API Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Microservices and API Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services on Azure. You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, and container technologies to deliver high‑performance APIs for our e‑commerce platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design API‑first solutions following REST standards and OpenAPI specifications.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Publish, secure, and manage APIs with Azure API Management.
• Integrate backend services with internal and external systems using synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Azure AD.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD automation.
• Set up logging, monitoring, and tracing with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven experience designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services, especially AKS, API Management, and Key Vault.
• Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of API security best practices and OWASP guidelines.
• Understanding of e‑commerce and order‑management workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
