Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) - Saudi Entities

About the role

Ounass is hiring a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for its Saudi entities. The role leads the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the Saudi Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) and Targeted Financial Sanctions (TFS) compliance framework and acts as the dedicated local compliance lead. It advises on Saudi e-commerce, retail and consumer regulatory requirements and may support AML/CTF compliance in other GCC markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain risk-based AML/CTF/TFS policies, controls, governance documents and the register of regulatory obligations.
• Conduct and update business-wide and product-specific financial crime risk assessments, including digital and retail sales channels.
• Monitor Saudi regulatory changes and turn them into an actionable compliance roadmap.
• Coordinate regulatory interactions, examinations and submissions where authorised, and report to senior management and Group Compliance.
• Act independently as MLRO: decide on and file suspicious transaction reports with SAFIU without internal approval, and escalate AML/CTF matters to senior management and, where required, the Board.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
• Ideally 6-8 years of AML, financial crime or regulatory compliance experience, including hands-on Saudi regulatory exposure.
• Experience with KYC/CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, investigations and regulatory reporting.
• Strongly preferred: CAMS or ICA advanced certificate/diploma in anti-money laundering; CFE or relevant Saudi AML/CTF training; experience in jewellery, precious metals, gemstones, luxury retail or high-value e-commerce.
