Network Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic technology environment in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for safeguarding the enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring its security, availability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, administer and troubleshoot enterprise network and security infrastructure, providing Level 2 and Level 3 support.
• Manage firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems and network access control solutions.
• Investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement effective resolutions.
• Support LAN, WAN, wireless and cloud connectivity environments and execute security changes, upgrades and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, operational standards and service level agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network and security operations, preferably in enterprise, NOC, SOC or managed‑services environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities, accountability and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing & switching, BGP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and load balancers.
• Hands‑on experience with next‑generation firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco or Check Point.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, NAC, PAM, DLP, secure web gateways and MFA solutions.
• Experience with monitoring tools like OpManager, NetFlow or Dynatrace.
