Senior FPGA Designer – Software Defined Radio

About the role

Tektora is supporting an established defence technology client in Abu Dhabi to build software‑defined radio products. They are seeking an experienced FPGA designer to own end‑to‑end hardware development for radio applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate, code and verify FPGA projects for software‑defined radio applications.
• Develop and optimise digital signal processing algorithms in fabric and carry out timing analysis on large, high‑speed FPGA designs.
• Own complex VHDL and Verilog projects from study and simulation through implementation to test, including documentation.
• Support evaluation and introduction of control boards and platforms, and provide occasional troubleshooting on customer projects.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on FPGA design experience, preferably in radio or RF‑adjacent domains.
• Proven track record in VHDL or Verilog development for FPGAs.
• BSc or higher in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
