Night Manager - Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

The Night Manager at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah oversees overnight hotel operations and delivers memorable guest experiences. The role acts as Manager-On-Duty during the night shift, exercising full hotel authority in the absence of the General Manager and ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Manager-On-Duty, resolving guest and team member issues and ensuring smooth interdepartmental operations
• Ensure quality appearance, cleanliness and lighting; report deficiencies and safety hazards to the engineer on duty and follow up until they are fixed
• Oversee the preparation of daily summary reports and the shift closing of Front Desk Agents and Supervisors, and ensure a proper handover to the morning shift
• Identify discrepancies, give constructive feedback, training and coaching, and report recurring errors to the Front Office Manager
• Take part in training and performance reviews of team members, and supervise and train night Guest Services Agents
• Act as FPG Champion, equipping team members with the tools needed for successful upselling
• Participate in probation and annual reviews, and resolve problems quickly during the shift
• Handle guest relocations, talk with guests to maintain a relaxing atmosphere, manage emergencies, and assist other departments when staff are limited

Required profile

• Ability to handle guests and team members who need patience, tact and diplomacy
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead, delegate, follow up and supervise staff
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Fluent reading, writing, speaking and understanding of English
• Complete knowledge of hotel operations and handling of hotel emergencies
