Node.js (TypeScript) Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Genesis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and ship significant features across its stack. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and requires three days a week on‑site, offering a fast‑paced environment where initiative and problem‑solving are valued.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver end‑to‑end features, owning non‑trivial technical decisions.
• Collaborate with client development teams and stakeholders on integration design, sequencing, and delivery.
• Set and uphold code‑quality standards, reviewing code across the team.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, design reviews, and direct feedback.
• Participate in production incident response and post‑incident analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience building production systems with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, concurrency, and distributed‑system failure modes.
• Solid SQL knowledge, including indexing and query‑plan optimization.
• Experience operating services in production (logging, metrics, alerting, on‑call).
