Operator - Coating

About the role

The Operator - Coating will work in a greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, handling tablet compression, coating and inspection processes. The role ensures compliance with GMP, SOPs and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate tablet compression machines (single/double rotary, high‑speed press) according to SOPs and batch records.
• Perform tablet coating operations using automated and manual systems, ensuring uniform application.
• Conduct visual and automated inspections to detect defects and maintain quality standards.
• Set up, calibrate and maintain compression, coating and inspection equipment.
• Monitor tablet weight, hardness, thickness, friability and coating integrity during production.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, logbooks and batch records.
• Collaborate with QA, QC and engineering to resolve deviations and troubleshoot equipment.
• Ensure proper cleaning, change‑over and adherence to EHS regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma / ITI / Diploma in Pharmaceutical, Chemical or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in tablet compression, coating or inspection within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs and quality control procedures.
• Ability to work in a dynamic greenfield project setting.
