Operator - Finishing Machine

About the role

The Finishing Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a range of finishing equipment to ensure high‑quality output in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate various finishing machines including Kolbus perfect binders, Muller Martini saddle stitchers, folding machines, sewing, Wholemberg gathering machines and cutting machines.
• Configure automatic die‑cutting, foiling, embossing, Brausee folder gluer and Champion bag‑fabrication machines according to job specifications and material type.
• Monitor output for binding strength, stitching accuracy, fold precision and cutting alignment.
• Conduct visual and manual quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or misfeeds to the foreman or maintenance team.
