Painter & Polisher for Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Painter & Polisher is responsible for maintaining the appearance, condition and finish of interior and exterior surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and equipment at a luxury Forbes Five‑Star hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out painting, touch‑up, varnishing and polishing works throughout guest rooms, suites, public areas, meeting rooms, back‑of‑house areas, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and repairing minor imperfections before painting or finishing.
• Mix and match paints and finishing materials to maintain consistency with approved colour schemes.
• Apply paints, varnishes, stains and other finishing materials using brushes, rollers, spray guns and appropriate equipment.
• Perform polishing and refinishing on wooden furniture, doors, frames and other surfaces.
• Carry out minor repairs to painted and finished surfaces, including scratches, chips, cracks and dents.
• Inspect areas, report significant defects, support preventive maintenance and respond promptly to maintenance requests.

Required profile

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in a similar multi‑skilled technician or engineering role within a luxury hotel environment.
• Positive attitude, proactive approach and strong communication skills.
• Excellent grooming, professional standards and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
