Patient Admin Executive

About the role

The Patient Admin Executive will be the first point of contact for patients entering the facility, handling registration, billing, insurance queries and providing essential information to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, direct them to appropriate departments and provide routine hospital information.
• Manage appointments, including handling no‑shows, rescheduling and confirmations.
• Register new patients and keep existing patient records up to date.
• Explain medical insurance coverage, collect co‑payments, and provide claim forms when needed.
• Process daily cash, credit card and cheque collections, ensuring accurate financial handling.
• Maintain knowledge of the Hospital Information System, clinic schedules, doctor rosters and appointment procedures.
• Handle telephone inquiries, respond to emails promptly and ensure complaints are managed professionally.
• Generate and process patient invoices, issue bills, and assist patients in understanding charges and payment options.
• Adhere to NMC regulations, infection control, patient safety standards and participate in quality improvement activities.

Required profile

• College diploma in any discipline or related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work varied shift schedules as assigned by the team leader.
• Commitment to follow hospital policies, procedures and continuous training programs.
