Patient Safety Specialist – Gulf Cluster

About the role

We are looking for a Patient Safety Specialist to join Novartis’ Patient Safety Team in the Gulf Cluster. The role supports the management of safety operational processes for both marketed and investigational products, ensuring compliance with global, local and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, process, document and report adverse event information from clinical trials, spontaneous reports, literature and patient‑oriented programs.
• Enter source data accurately into safety databases and ensure timely submission of safety reports (SAE, SUSAR, PSUR, DSUR, etc.) to local health authorities.
• Collaborate with local and global Patient Safety colleagues, medical information, quality assurance and external contractors to evaluate safety data.
• Monitor national pharmacovigilance regulations and update internal procedures accordingly.
• Prepare KPI and compliance reports and support literature screening activities.

Required profile

• UAE national or eligible candidate with at least 1 month of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance regulations and medical terminology.
• Attention to detail, high quality data entry and ability to work under tight timelines.
