People & Culture Officer

About the role

Novotel & Ibis Gate Hotels in Abu Dhabi is looking for a People & Culture Officer to support its employees (Heartists) and help foster a vibrant, supportive workplace. The role covers HR administration, employee relations, recruitment support and compliance with UAE Labor Law, and is open to candidates who want to contribute to the Pullman culture.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for employee questions on policies, benefits and procedures, and support the P&C Director with grievances, disciplinary matters and conflict resolution
• Help organise engagement initiatives, welfare programmes, team-building activities and recognition events
• Maintain confidential employee records and manage the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding
• Prepare HR-related letters, certificates and reports, and provide attendance, leave and hire/leave data to Finance for payroll
• Process visa applications, renewals and cancellations in line with UAE immigration law, liaising with the PRO
• Support recruitment from job posting to offer, schedule interviews, run initial screenings and welcome new hires
• Apply hotel policies consistently, communicate policy updates, and support internal and external HR audits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality in the UAE
• Good knowledge of UAE Labor Law and immigration procedures
• Excellent English; Arabic is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, empathetic and discreet attitude, with good organisational skills and attention to detail
